Mission Leapfrog 2030 in the Philippines

In line with the Universal Healthcare (UHC) Law and the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA), Roche (Philippines) Inc. is currently working on the 2030 Mission Leapfrog Project (MLP).

MLP is a collaboration between Roche and local partners to accelerate transformation in healthcare outcomes that improve the lives of people and strengthen society. Its objective is to help improve healthcare systems and “leapfrog” into a better state of healthcare in a shorter period of time.

Mission Leapfrog aims to promote collaboration among various partners in co-creating breakthroughs in healthcare outcomes. In this project, Roche aims to contribute as a facilitator and catalyst in the transformation of healthcare systems in the Philippines.

Along the journey, Roche hopes to learn best practices in supporting the healthcare system in the Philippines and in collaborating with partners to achieve better health outcomes.

Following Mission Leapfrog’s successful launch in Thailand, Tacloban City was chosen as the first site for the Philippines. The program focuses activities on breast and cervical cancer, from which Roche hopes to generate learnings to strengthen the overall Philippine healthcare system, especially in primary healthcare.

To create significant contributions to the healthcare system, Roche seeks to combine the efforts of the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DepEd), local government, civil society organizations, patient advocacy groups, private and public healthcare organizations, healthcare professionals, and volunteers.
